Big Brother Naija Season 11, Show Ya Sef, has delivered another major twist as the competition enters its final stretch.
Following Sunday’s triple eviction, which sent Yusuf, Bells and Chimsom Chuka out of the house, only 10 housemates remained. On Monday, September 21, attention turned to the Week 9 Head of House challenge and the possibility of another tense nomination process.
But once again, Biggie had something different in store.
Keivo Wins Week 9 Head of House
Keivo emerged as the Week 9 Head of House after topping the four-game Arena challenge.
The victory comes just one week after he narrowly missed out on the Week 8 HoH crown to Barry. This time, Keivo went one step further and secured the title, along with its privileges.
Keivo chose Aikou as his Loft Mate, while Oyin became the Week 9 Benchwarmer.
Most importantly, Keivo's victory also gives him a guaranteed place in the grand finale, making him the second confirmed finalist after Barry.
Who Is Up for Eviction in Week 9?
At this stage, no housemate is up for eviction in Week 9.
That makes this week different from the previous one, when 11 housemates faced the public vote and Yusuf, Bells and Chimsom eventually left the competition.
The unusual development is linked to Barry's Ultimate Veto Power, which he received after winning the Week 8 Head of House challenge.
Rather than following the normal nomination process, Biggie's latest twist has changed how Week 9 safety will work.
As a result, the 10 housemates currently remaining in the house are safe from a Week 9 eviction.
The 10 BBNaija Housemates Still in the House
The remaining housemates are:
Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Keivo, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram.
Barry was already guaranteed a place in the finale after his Week 8 HoH victory, while Keivo has now joined him as a confirmed finalist following his Week 9 win.
The other eight housemates remain in contention as the competition moves closer to its final stage.
What Happened to Barry’s Ultimate Veto Power?
Barry's Ultimate Veto Power has been one of the biggest twists of the season.
When Barry won Week 8 HoH, Big Brother gave him the power to influence the eviction process. He eventually used it to save Aikou from possible eviction, leaving 11 housemates facing the public vote.
That decision ultimately shaped the Week 8 eviction, which ended with Yusuf, Bells and Chimsom Chuka leaving the house.
With Barry still holding the special power in Week 9, the eviction process has once again taken an unexpected turn.
What Does the Week 9 Twist Mean?
The biggest difference this week is that the remaining housemates do not have to campaign for survival through the usual eviction vote.
Instead, the focus now shifts towards HoH power, tasks, relationships, strategy and the race for the remaining finale places.
It also gives the housemates a rare opportunity to experience a week without the immediate pressure of being sent home.
However, being safe from a particular week's eviction should not automatically be confused with being a confirmed finalist. At the moment, Barry and Keivo are the two housemates confirmed for the finale through their HoH victories.
When Is the Next BBNaija Eviction?
The next scheduled live eviction show is Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Whether the format changes again before then remains one of the biggest questions as Big Brother continues to introduce twists during the final weeks of Show Ya Sef.
The season began with 24 housemates competing for the ₦160 million grand prize. With only 10 contestants remaining, the race has now entered its most important stage.
BBNaija Week 9 Nominations: The Bottom Line
Week 9 has once again shown why Show Ya Sef has been difficult to predict.
There are no housemates facing eviction this week, Keivo has secured the Head of House crown and a place in the finale, while Barry's Ultimate Veto Power continues to influence the endgame.
For the remaining housemates, the immediate danger of eviction may have disappeared, but the bigger battle is far from over.
With the finale getting closer, every task, relationship and strategic move could become increasingly important.
